Manager Trade Sales & Advisory – Mashreqbank

Job Purpose
Identify new business opportunities. Canvassing new Trade customers with substantial portfolio.
To actively market the Trade products among existing client of the bank
Facilitate with Relationship Manager to book new accounts with focus on trade products.
Monitor utilization and identify customers with low utilization and increase turnover.
To offer structured Trade Products to client as per their requirements.
To facilitate minimum turnaround time on all client related issues and understand client requirement towards utilization of Trade Finance products.
Sell Mashreq Matrix and migrate clients on digital platform for giving trade requests.
Conduct training sessions for Trade Finance related products for customers and within the various departments of the bank as and when required.
To maintain reports of turnover/commissions earned by Trade Advisory and Business Development.

Key Result Areas:
Sales Activities & Customer Acquisition
Manage Trade Advisory desk and provide related services as well as necessary training to MB clients, potential clients and to the internal sales team.
Identify and qualify opportunities, manage ad-hoc deal teams, and negotiate and close complex sales of trade & supply chain financing solutions to large clients when required.
Sell MB trade products and services to existing and potential clients and generate additional business thereby increasing the market share of MB.
Monitor the sales activities performed by the respective Divisions. Ensure that the trade utilization levels are as per the targeted levels by increasing the share of the wallet. Visit current and potential clients accompanied with the respective GRMs and provide trade finance specific advice which will help retain customers and capture the bulk of their trade business.
Develop solutions that advance a given client’s strategic objectives by acquiring an in-depth understanding of the political and organizational structure of a targeted prospect and the current competitive landscape.
Review all call reports submitted by the various GRM’s to identify trade finance issues and facilitate to resolve same with the relative stakeholders’ customers.
Ensure that MB eTrade service is sold to achieve at least a minimum level of 50% of electronically channeled trade transactions over 2 years.
Ensure prompt and professional service to corporate clients for all their trade related business and financial needs.
Ensure that MB is ranked as the most preferred bank to large Trade Finance customers with the UAE.
Develop and implement business action plans for Trade Finance in an effort to contribute and achieve the MB’s ultimate goals such as revenues growth, market share, corporate image and social responsibility

Client Service
Ensure prompt and professional service to corporate clients for all their trade related business and financial needs.
Ensure that MB is ranked as the most preferred bank to large Trade Finance customers with the UAE.
Business Growth

Develop and implement business action plans for Trade Finance in an effort to contribute and achieve the MB’s ultimate goals such as revenues growth, market share, corporate image and social responsibility

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration, or related field, at a graduate level preferred. Proficiency in UCP 600, URC, URR rules and guidelines. Trade certification, such as CDCS is a plus.

Minimum Experience:
10-12 years progressive professional experience in the banking of financial institution. 5-7 years of which at Trade Finance Ops.

Job-Specific Skills:
Fully literate and well versed in Trade Finance products (Imports, Exports, Islamic Finance, etc…). Strong presentation skills on trade related topics.
