Job Purpose

The successful candidate will develop standards that support dnata’s commitment to a healthy workforce and establishes systems and processes that assure Health related risks are being managed in line with Industry Best Practices, regulatory requirements, stake holder expectations and to a level of ALARP.

Job Accountabilities

– Plans the development and administration of health programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
– Establishes Minimum Health Management Standards that address corporate health risks
– Assures compliance to applicable regulatory health requirements, company standards and stakeholder commitments
– Establishes a continuous improvement process that will progress dnata up the culture maturity matrix and improve health performance
– Manages the processes to control unnecessary utilization of medical services with the aim of driving down medical costs
– Manages appeals and reconciliations against hospital and other ancillary treatment facilities where there is no pre-certification or where paperwork is not in place
– Manages effective achievement of departmental objectives by setting individual goals, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisals, in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance
– Manages and coordinates dnata safety staff, consultants and contractors assigned to the department
– Promotes health education programs to support health and wellness of employees and contractors organizes the delivery of health services in line with the standards
– Oversees the implementation of effective medical emergency response, health assessments, health surveillance, health promotion, disability case management of occupational illnesses/injuries, and management of ongoing health issues

– Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
– Master’s Degree is preferred
– 10-12 years’ experience in Medical Administration and Medical Fund Management
Knowledge and Skills:
– Advanced negotiation skills, communication skills, data collection and analysis skills
– Advanced knowledge of WCB Acts and Policies, Privacy and Human Rights Legislation
– Advanced knowledge of Industrial Hygiene applications and processes
– Advanced knowledge of ergonomics and Human Factor Engineering
– Advanced knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation, Occupational health policies and procedures
Additional Requirements:
– Ability to pass a safety sensitive role
