Mission of Function: The prime function of the Clinical Application Specialist is to provide best-in-class application support and is seen as a key contributor in providing country application service teams with onsite support assistance and direction of instrument application activities for focused product disciplines. The Clinical Application Specialist must respond to the most difficult instrument problems, training customers and Field Service Engineers on corrective and preventive measures.
Dimensions of Function: This role requires a flexible approach to working hours. The nature of our customer’s business means that there is a requirement to address complaints through to an end. In addition, extensive travelling to Saudi Arabia.
Contacts (internal / external): The Clinical Applications Specialist will interface accordingly with the Regional Support Center, Field Service Engineers, Field Application Specialists, Marketing, Sales, Global Product Support Team.
What are my responsibilities?
Demonstrate high degree of applications and systems expertise of designated Siemens LD products in Saudi Arabia
Provide customer trouble-shooting, applications and operational assistance. Direction, and leadership as required to Saudi Arabia Partners’ FSE/CAS, and RSC in the region, both on site and remote. Lead installations for new methods and products.
Primarily responsible for customer satisfaction for product line(s) responsibility, demonstrating proactive attitude and actions to optimize their performance and perception. Develop and maintain relationships with top customers and opinion leaders.
Proactive and reactive compilation and evaluation of statistics and issue of adequate reports concerning errors and problems in regard to the applications support of the product, with corresponding interaction with Global Product Support (GPS) for product and systems improvement.
Utilizing and promoting Siemens Remote Service to proactively provide application support with the aim of increasing profitability, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction by improving uptime and efficiency in their labs.
Responsible for technical assessment of applications for Saudi Arabia Partners/Customers, and for technical validations of products when required by the degree of complexity.
Responsible for always following the Siemens LD complaint handling guidelines, and promptly escalate instrument performance issues, especially in all aspects to application to Global Product Support (GPS).
Perform training for Customers and Partners’ CAS alike on site, in formal classroom settings for Initial and Advanced Trainings, and leading Country Workshops as needed.
Manage and controll the distribution of application information including Tips and Tricks for product line(s) responsibility within Saudi Arabia. Lead regular regional technical teleconferences as needed and always participate in GPS or CEMEA Technical Support hosted conference calls and or Exchange/ Focus meetings.
Work with Area Service Managers on overall CAS performance in order to help in coaching and training development opportunities.
Responsible for the timely implementation of applications modifications / retrofits for product line(s) responsibility within the region. Monitor and drive the implementation, and working with local and regional field service through the timely completion.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
A University Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Medical Technology or equivalent in a relevant life science subject.
A high degree of application troubleshooting skills and assay adaptation. Proficient in computer literacy with knowledge relating to currently approved software and operating systems, networks, and connectivity.
Good interpersonal skills, professional attitude, excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
Possess superior communications skills, both written and oral, in Arabic and English with the ability to deal with customers and staff at all levels.
