The Human Resources Manager, as a member of the senior management team, reports directly to the Hospital Director and is responsible for providing HR expertise and support across the functions of recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, employment law, manpower budgets, employee relations and general HR policies and procedures.
Must have a Bachelors in Human Resources, Psychology or equivalent
Masters in a relevant subject under the Human Resources stream would be a definite advantage
Must have minimum of five (5) years senior human resources management experience preferably within a healthcare environment
Must have good working knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
Knowledge of the UAE medical licensing and visa processes would be advantageous
Must be capable to develop strategic direction for the Human Resources function within the hospital
Good leadership skills with the proven ability to empower and mentor human resources staff is expected of this role.
Must be able to represent the Human Resource function as an integral part of the business
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Financial knowledge and abilities with respect to budget principles, management and reporting is expected.
Must have excellent problem solving skills with the ability to take a big picture view of issues
Must have strong professional integrity with a focus on confidentiality
Strong attention to detail with strong numeric and reporting ability is essential
Good computer literacy (MS office) and previous experience working with HR Systems is a requirement.
High level of interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to function effectively under pressure is expected.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Must be fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic language skills are well regarded.
A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction and retention within the Unit is expected.
Responsible for providing HR expertise and support across the functions of recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, employment law, manpower budgets, employee relations and general HR policies and procedures.
Lead the HR Team in the management of the day to day HR operational needs of the business and deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business
Develop HR planning strategies with Line Managers by considering immediate and long-term staff requirements
Develop, mentor and manage the HR team according to the KPIs and performance standards set
Train managers to coach and discipline employees, where applicable, in a constructive, objective and quantifiable manner
In conjunction with Corporate HR, ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law. Ensure Line Managers are up to date with changes to any policies
Measure employee satisfaction and, after identifying areas that require improvement, develop strategies to increase satisfaction
Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, evidencing appropriate decision making skills
Manage talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
Maintain valid job descriptions for all positions with the hospital/clinic; updating and creating new job descriptions where required
Ensure ongoing planning for, monitoring of, and appraisal of all employees within the Unit, including the coordination of the completion of the annual individual performance review process (IPR) for all Departments
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organisational objectives.
Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems, and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices.
Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates
Oversee the employee exit process ensuring exit interviews are completed and the information collected in used in improvement activities
Coordinate the annual budgeting process playing an instrumental role in the manpower budget creation with all Departments in the hospital/clinic
Oversee the annual manpower budget and conduct periodic reconciliations to ensure all recruitment aligns with the completed forecast
Coordinate the annual salary increase process ensuring the same is managed in accordance with the company principles and allocated budget
