Head of Communications – twofour54 – Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose
The role oversees and guides the Marketing Communications functions and ensures best-in-class marketing, branding, sponsoring & events activities. Bears overall responsibility for developing, planning and coordinating of integrated communication activities & campaigns for twofour54. Provides professional guidance and support to subordinates in carrying out the assigned functions. To work in close cooperation with the Director Marketing & Communications in developing and managing a strategic communication plan (both internal and external) that positions the ADMZA in the market and builds a sense of inclusive community within the ADMZA.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the overarching Marketing and Communications strategy and framework, reflecting a clear understanding of MZA’s priorities and reputational goals.
Review the integration of MZA’s vision with existing Marketing and Communications plans that map tools being used to communicate with stakeholders at various touch-points.
Merge all communications messages and communication delivered brand promises with all other communication activities to ensure consistency, synergy and brand differentiation and avoid duplication.
Liaise with other operations departments and stakeholders (e.g. Business Development & Facilitation, business pillars).
Organize and manage public relations events and media related sponsor- and partnerships.
Manage media relations, press announcements, editorial placement and speaking opportunities to ensure MZA’s goals and interests are met.
Execute media briefs – provide project and relationship management.
Actively establish and maintain effective working relations with senior journalists and tier 1 publications, and other key influencers.
Manage the assigned corporate PR agency to continually track relative performance of initiatives and report improvements.
Writing effective press releases and editorial pieces in Arabic for placement in targeted media.
Prepare all CEO office communications including speeches, press statements and conference addresses and draft similar content for senior executives that are nominated spokespersons for the ADMZA.
Preparing information updates for media kits, company internet or intranet web pages.
Preparing social media content.
Continuously measure and evaluate all communication management and execution processes – strive for cost effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Ensure the implementation of cost-effective activities – ensuring that all communications activities are well managed and extend a great return.
Continuously monitor, evaluate and report on communications activity.

Knowledge of communications – including the strategic selection, deployment and measurement of solutions
Develop communication initiatives
5+ years marketing or communications experience with a particular emphasis on project management and fulfilment/delivery of communications solutions
Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English skills
Experience of managing Third Party vendors

Graduate degree in Marketing and Business
MBA or Masters in relevant subject preferrable
