Group Project Manager – Dubai – Azadea

Role Purpose
The Group Project Manager is responsible for directing shop construction activities in order to ensure projects are completed on time, and in compliance with cost and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities
Direct retail construction projects from proposal to design phase to execution in coordination with
Landlords, in order to ensure that projects are delivered to commercial team according to the Target Master schedule
Validate technical documents, finalize their submittals with Landlords (Concept, Architectural and MEP drawings) and ensure all necessary permits and Insurance are obtained in order to start the Fit Out works
Request budgets and quotations for project materials, review and approve project procurement list accordingly, in coordination with Group Engineering Manager
Analyze bids and award construction contracts to qualified contractors in coordination with Group Engineering Manager
Liaise with relevant departments and follow up on supply, shipment and delivery of shops and office equipments respecting project overall schedule of works and costs
Monitor and control payment settlement for principle, designer, supplier, contractor, and Landlord; submit statements/invoices in a timely manner in order to ensure non delay in delivery and execution, and support on-time remuneration for contractors and suppliers
Review drafted lease agreements and advise about technical matters, penalties responsibilities matrix, milestones and Fit Out period with Country Manager or both Legal and Real Estate Departments if available
Provide cost analysis of CAPEX and reduce it by performing budget payments in advance, reducing design charges and other
Oversee the receipt of materials in order to ensure that they are available for issue on site when required; coordinate and schedule with the Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer the furniture installation timings of the Installation Teams
Follow up on site progress to ensure its compliance with Target Master Schedule, and quality control standards through regular site visits

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and Project Scheduling Tools (such as MS Project, Primavera or other)
9 years of experience in a similar field
Fluency in English; Fluency in an additional language is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
