Position Overview:
The position of GM Honeywell Industrial Safety (HIS) MEA is a key regional business unit and is part of High Growth Regions (HGR) and Global Projects, which is global in reach and sets out to define and successfully execute commercial strategy, structure teams, develop organizations and their maturity and build robust teams with succession planning. This is done through high quality market intelligence, segmentation, business analysis, and the application of commercial and operational resources. HGR’s will contribute to over 30% of total HIS revenue over the 5 year Strategic Plan (STRAP) period from 15% today

This position is responsible for revenue growth and margin improvement which is reflected in the regional HIS financials. It is directly responsible for leading all strategic and operational activities in the ME and Africa for both the Honeywell Safety Products (HSP) and Honeywell Analytics (HA) businesses, as well as supporting local Global strategic accounts and the Global Project Pursuit team.

Responsibilities:
Owns revenue and segment margins for approximately $55M USD, with a plan to achieve above 100M USD over STRAP
Together with key reports (HIS Strategic Marketing Leader, MEA Sales Director and Operations Leader), lead the HIS MEA team aligned with X-Matrix priorities
Lead operational improvement, both locally and in sourcing products/solutions from worldwide factory network
Establish strategy to maximize use of global products, especially E2R
Motivate, coach and develop local Leadership Team and wider organization to meet and exceed goals and breakthrough objectives
Plan and execute STRAP and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives
Develop commercial strategy to maximize share of demand and margins, to include segmentation, regional development, resource planning etc
Initiate and co- ordinate development activities in response to emerging business needs
Ensure that sales processes are executed that provide profitable growth for the business
Identify acquisition opportunities and support M&A activities
Drive and implement improvement and change Projects
Develop strong, cascading MOS feeding into HIS Global MOS
Ensure Direct Reports develop and execute clear, transparent LSW, including clear escalation paths
Ensures appropriate business management practices and policies are implemented to ensure that appropriate process and audit controls are in place
Direct reports and functional staff to include 15 now and approximately 40 over the STRAP period

Qualifications
Engineering or business graduate preferred, ideally MBA
Proven leadership, gets results, communication and integrative thinker behaviors
Exceptional communicator, both internally and externally, comfortable from very senior executive level to shop floor
Track record of delivering measurable financial results in complex organizations
Significant experience leading large commercial or marketing teams, previous general manager experience a strong plus
Knowledge of and experience of managing various sales channel businesses and strategies to exploit growth
Varied channel and route to market experience an advantage
International focus, the willingness to travel extensively and the sensitivity to work across a range of countries
