Biomedical Technician, Mediclinic Middle East, Dubai

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and repairs on medical equipment.

Requirements:
Licensing & Education:
•Diploma in Biomedical
•Hospital experience will be a distinct advantage

Skills/Abilities/Experience Required:
•Computer literacy on intermediate level (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Internet)
•Proficient in English (speak, read, write)
•Good communication skills
•The ability to interact with nursing staff and related medical professionals
•Presentable appearance

Key Outputs
•Jobs are carried out within limits of scope of work, and in line with designated responsibility
•Job cards are filed in comprehensively as per policy and procedure
• Job cards are issued as per procedure for all work done, any meetings held, training attended, labouring, driving, cleaning, etc.
•Job cards are obtained for emergency call-outs
•Jobs are carried out as per job card instruction and quality standards are adhered to
• Tools requirement is assessed prior to the job and utilized correctly
•Problems and re-work / quality failures are reported as per procedure
•Permission is obtained to access areas and isolation of services is strictly controlled and communicated
•Areas and facilities are left clean and functional, and deviations are reported
•Contractors are accompanied and assisted as per instructions and policies
•Statutory and safety requirements are ensured
•Job Cards are logged and issued as per procedure
•Job Cards are closed off (where applicable)
•Delivery Notes are checked and signed as per procedure
•Electronic and manual filing systems are maintained (asses register and PPM)
• End-user training on equipment conducted when needed
•Stock levels checked on a regular basis
•Critical spares and consumables ordered via Manager
•Follow ups done to ensure on time deliveries
•Client expectations are determined and met
•Client complaints are addressed / resolved
•Participation in Quality and Improvement projects is ensured
•Meetings are utilized as quality improvement opportunities
• Patient Rights are maintained
• Professional ethics and Mediclinic values are upheld
•Competence is demonstrated in all performance output areas
•Behaviour exhibits a culture of service
