Procurement Manager – UAE

Develops procurement strategies in projects based on business requirements and ensures their implementation;
Guides the establishment of proper sourcing processes and control of procurement resources and activities for optimum cost-cutting potential and to meet deadlines and quality standards

Experience in managing of projects related to procurement
Purchasing management experience of at least five years is necessary for this position
Must have project management experience and possess strong negotiation and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to lead and manage people and multiple projects simultaneously is required.
Must have experience working with military product lines, working in an AS9100 environment and must be skilled at leading/managing purchasing organizations, suppliers and subcontractors.
Must also have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and government agencies at all levels and be accomplished at gaining commitment, using appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.

Must have exceptional decision making skills, strong analytical skills and be able to develop proactive solutions in a complex business environment. Must be able to cross boundaries and work effectively with all locations and functional groups to maximize spend leverage and ensure the appropriate drawings, specifications, and Statements of Work are identified.
Must also be able to identify opportunities and strategies to reduce risk, cost and/or create value for customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database and web-based applications
Good oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
