JOB PURPOSE
Job Purpose
The Manager Analytics and Insights is accountable for leading and managing the implementation of a best in class Analytics function for the Emirates Group. The role is critical in defining the analytical objectives cross-functionally, as well as in each functional line of business.
The role leads the centralised functions that deliver timely, reliable and certified analysis of the business in accordance with the balanced scorecard / enterprise analytics framework prescribed by the Head of the Analytics. They will lead a team of best in class analysts to deliver the basis upon which a data driven organisation can emerge and thrive, with visibility of all aspects of the business covering revenue, cost, operations, people, industry and external factors to provide an enterprise decision support capability that crosses traditional analytical siloes.
The role will pioneer the trial and adoption of new methodologies, technologies and capabilities in the pursuit of analytical excellence including, but not limited to, exception reporting, predictive, forecasting and advanced analytics.
They will champion the framework for the standardisation of analytics quality for the Enterprise, and cultivate the Enterprise ambition of embedding a federated analytics community to enable the scaled and sustained excellence in all analytics disciplines across functional lines of business. Active endorsement and participation in community building activities will reinforce this ambition.

Accountabilities
Lead and manage the implementation of the framework for a best in class analytics function for the Enterprise by defining the core competencies required to execute this function, building and leading the teams integration into the business and managing stakeholder engagement to ensure buy in to this model.

Defining the analytical objectives of the enterprise both cross-functionally, and in each functional line of business. Lead the team to execute this strategy.

Leads the centralised functions that deliver timely, reliable and certified analysis for the business in accordance with the balanced scorecard / enterprise analytics framework prescribed by the Head of the CoE

Lead the business through the creation of the program of work that delivers the basis upon which a data driven organisation can emerge and thrive. Create transparency across all aspects of the business covering revenue, cost, operations, people, industry and external factors to provide an enterprise decision support capability that crosses traditional analytical silo.

Pioneer the trial and adoption of new methodologies, technologies and capabilities in the pursuit of analytical excellence including, but not limited to, exception reporting, predictive, forecasting and customer analytics

Define and oversee the implementation of the framework for the standardisation of analytics quality for the Enterprise, including data quality, content certification and visualisation standards

Acting as a governing function, the role actively promotes the adoption of these standards through the creation of policies and guidelines, as well as the deployment of toolkits and support to ensure adherence to this program

Cultivates the Enterprise ambition of embedding a federated I&A community to enable the scaled and sustained excellence in all I&A disciplines across functional lines of business.

Create a culture of inclusion across business functions by actively endorsing and participating in community building activities that reinforce this ambition.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience :
Commercial/Sales. Other 10+Years

Qualifications:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

Knowledge and Skills:

Qualification from an internationally recognised university with emphasis on business, marketing and sales.
Experience in the airline or service industry of which a minimum of 5 years as a functional head developing and implementing startegies.
Should be strategic thinking and result oriented, capable of handling multiple and complex situations simultaneously taking in to considerations the diverse culture within the group.
The individual should possess strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyse reports of high quality.
Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage: customer analysis, financial analysis, data mining and/or CRM database analysis.
