We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Financial Reporting function at Senior Management level. As Head of Financial Operations, you will add immediate value by leading the functional areas by developing, implementing and monitoring departmental policies, procedures, and performance vs governed processes as part of a coordinated strategy to ensure accuracy of financial activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
Define and cascade the Function’s strategy to ensure alignment with Company strategy and that of Group Finance
Policies and procedures
Define and cascade policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/ regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled
Budget Management
Develop and cascade Function/Department budget, and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment, ensuring that all transformation targets are reported and tracked in WAVE.
People Development
Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize performance and creating a culture of talent planning across a large finance team of excellence
Safety, Quality & Environment
Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Hold ultimate responsibility on all financial operations activities to ensure they are reported accurately and on a timely manner following company policies and accounting principles
Work closely with key stakeholders to provide advice on area of expertise to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of the operation
Drive initiatives to achieve quality and compliance in management of information under financial and payroll reporting
Participate in all relevant external meetings and conferences to represent the company and provide expertise
Lead and develop executive management level reporting to provide a clear representation of the risk and measures of the broader finance operations divisions performance.
Manage stakeholder relationships within the Group and co-ordinate engagement by the relevant finance and/or business units to define and implement synergy opportunities
Implement and lead the implementation of process improvements across the various functional work streams (AP, AR, DOC accounting, Data Management reconciliations etc)
Manage and lead the relationship with our
Define the Team structure in partnership with HR and coach, counsel and motivate the team managers and broader team to achieve the set objectives of the department, both in terms of deliverables, development and cost containment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Bachelor Degree or a diploma (3 years) or anything above ,Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable
Experience of leading and managing a large diverse finance function is essential
A detailed knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
Experience of leading on and offshore resources is essential
Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting or financial operations functions in a multinational company of which 5 years in a managerial role
