Job Purpose

The Analytics manager provides best in class analytical support to lines of business on all aspects of business performance. They exploit data, technology and business knowledge to create visibility of current state, trends and projected outcomes through the application of analytical techniques that make information translatable to key decision makers across the Enterprise.

The role delivers the core analytical capability which produces insight in alignment with the enterprise performance management framework. They provide first level analytical support to senior management across the organisation to investigate trends and identify remedial actions or opportunities to exploit as well as exercising analytical leadership to promote cross-functional use cases.

The role also champions self-service analytics across the organisation through showing the art of the possible. An excellent knowledge of business, technology and process optimisation allows them to add value across a broad spectrum of scenarios, while an engaging communication style allows business confidence to grow in their own capability to execute analytics.

The role integrates closely with federated analytical teams across the organisation, leveraging localised knowledge in these functions to expand their own knowledge. They also contribute to the overall improvement of analytical capability by participating in analytics community programs.

Accountabilities
Accountable for the creation, design, implementation, and improvement of the Emirates analytics platform across all business functions.

Provide strategic insight and direction based on deep technical knowledge of business functions to achieve financial goals and enhance outcomes.

Generate actionable insights and proactively drive these insights through influencing key stakeholders to increase revenue, reduce cost, and to improve the customer experience.

Ensure that complex data is translated into tangible insights and recommendations and that the underlying data is sound and consistent with other data sources. Responsible for the extraction and presentation of information from raw data through application of analytics to drive business decisions.

Oversee analysis and reporting design and ensure that reports track relevant data against KPIs to enhance delivery against cost, revenue, operations and brand objectives.

Provide insight into external factors influencing business performance which include economic, competition, product, technology. Align relevant data to create relevance and context.

Develop the organisation capability to build, use and act upon predictive analytical capabilities through the design and application of these methodologies in standard reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

Experience:
Commercial/Sales. Other 8+ Years

Knowledge/Skills:
– Graduate, preferably in a Business or Commerce discipline
– Exprience in an airline industry, related to commercial operations in a Marketing or a Business Analysis environment with experience in compilation and analysis of relevant commercial data. Must possess broad understanding of customer behaviour and market trends and also be able to gauge market dynamics and proactively propose tactical initiatives based on factual information in a timely manner

Knowledge/Skills:

The individual should possess strong analytical skills with proven ability to produce and analyse reports of high quality. Understanding of customer & market segments, and their specific
– requirements, ability to recommend revenue enhancement measures via internal programs such as the FFP and corporate initiatives is critical.
– Ability to multi-task and work across various departments with strict deadlines is critical.

– Good working knowledge of all internal commercial systems is essential.
